The USA Cricket has dismissed Head Coach Stuart Law with immediate effect after the team’s 10-wicket defeat against Scotland on Friday.
Law who has coached the side during the World Cup 2024 has been sacked within 7 months of appointment.
The termination comes despite his success including the historic wins against Pakistan and Canada and qualification to the Super 8 which has secured a spot for USA cricket in the next Men’s T20 World Cup.
Under Stuart Law’s guidance, the USA men’s ODI squad has steered the second position out of eight in the current cycle of the Cricket World Cup League Two ODI table at six wins and three losses.

some reports suggest that it is due to serious allegations of discrimination, mistrust and favouritism laid by captain Monank Patel and senior players in the squad.
It further said, there was a conflict between selectors and the head coach. Monank Patel who had scored just 11 runs in the previous five innings, has reportedly been involved in the matters with the USA coach since the captain refused to leave the squad during the World Cup for a replacement player after being ruled out of the remainder of the innings with an injury.
Several players have accused Stuart Law of favouring others over South Asians. Stuart Law was hired by a Board that was composed of almost non-Indians and their selection policies in domestic cricket have gone too wild like excluding the eligible cricketers who play in domestic cricket in Australia, England and the Caribbean Nations from selection.
As a result, Cameron Gannon, and Cameron Steel, who were impressive in MLC 2023 and County Championship respectively have not been considered for the USA selection for the T20 World Cup squad.
Meanwhile, other reports suggest that USA Cricket who have used the common tongue of English on the field have been dismissed by Monank Patel and others. India-origin players communicated in their native tongue during action on the field and off-field functions.
It has been fixed that the players should speak English inside the team which was implemented during the times of Pubudu Dassanayake in 2018 who has Sri Lanka origin.
USA Cricket has a difficult time retaining leadership on and off the field of play. After Iain Higgins quit in December 2021, the USA Cricket had four CEOs and three different head coaches.
