The Australian opener Travis Head has joined Adelaide Strikers in the upcoming BBL 2024 season which is scheduled to begin on December 15.
He has joined a year deal to play for Adelaide Strikers in the BBL 2024-25 season, amidst Australia’s hectic test schedule against India and Sri Lanka.
Head will be available for a maximum of three matches for the strikers, and will mark his return to BBL after two years.

Travis Head who has been known as one of the destructive batter and ranked as no.1 in men’s t20 internationals during Australia’s tour of the UK last month.

Depending on his workload across the Border Gavaskar Trophy, he will be available for home fixture against Brisbane Heat on January 11.
Strikers are scheduled to play three matches after the fifth test against India and he will be available for the matches. the players’ availability for the finals remains uncertain due to Australia’s test tour of Sri Lanka.
“I’m thrilled to sign for another year with the Strikers and can’t wait to get back amongst the group under our new coach Tim Paine,” Travis Head said.
“I love pulling on the blue every chance I get and look forward to helping the boys go one step further after their fantastic late-season run to the finals last summer.”
Meanwhile, Paine said, “We understand ‘Trav’ has a hectic international schedule, but we also know how much he loves getting back in the blue whenever the chance arises.”
“He’s been in amazing form across every format in the past year or more, as we saw with his brilliant 154 not out off 129 balls in the ODI against England recently.”
Travis Head didn’t feature for the Strikers last season due to his international commitments and his addition will add more firepower to the batting lineup.
Adelaide Strikers will be playing their opener match of the tournament against Sydney Thunder on December 17 at Manuka Oval.
