The IPL 2025 mega auction was a historic event which broke several records in IPL history. It involved record-breaking bids where Rishabh Pant joined Lucknow Super Giants for INR 27 crore while Shreyas Iyer was sold for a price of INR 26.75 to PBKS.
There was a total spending of INR 639.15 crore on 182 players in the IPL 2025 auction. Teams including RCB, MI, CSK, KKR, SRH and DC participated in the high-stakes bidding war.
Meanwhile, Venkatesh Iyer came to the next big signing for a mouth-dropping record of INR 23.75 crore to bring back the Indian all-rounder who helped the side build a championship-winning core.
The also made a big spending for England start Phil Salt for INR 11.50 crore where they edged out Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Meanwhile LSG further bolstered their squad by picking up David Miller for INR 7.5 crore and KL Rahul has joined the Delhi Capitals side for a attractive bid of INR 14 crore.
Mohammad Siraj joined Gujarat Titans for INR 12.25 crore, while SRH bought Mohammed Shami for INR 10 crore after Gujarat chose not to use their RTM card for him while Shami could make a better bowling duo with Pat Cummins.
On the other hand, Gujarat Titans has secured England’s Jos Buttler for INR 15.75 crore and Liam Livingstone has landed a INR 8.75 crore contract with Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

RCB has also signed Bhuvneshwar Kumar on the day 02 of the auction for INR 10.75 crore. Notably, Kane Williamson, and Glenn Phillips went unsold on day 02 which suprised the cricketing faternity.
Interestingly, Ashwin and Sam Curran who has been worked with CSK in the past, will be returning to the side for the IPL 2025 season. Curran who has attracted INR 18 crore once, will be returning to the side for INR 2.40 crore.
Meanwhile Krunal Pandya was secured by RCB for a eye catching deal of INR 5.75 crore. Several key players remained unsold at the IPL 2025 auction.
