Australia’s Pat Cummins has been named as the ICC Men’s Test Team of the Year 2024 for another second successive year. Meanwhile, three Indians Jasprit Bumrah, Jaiswal and Jadeja have been named in the test team of the year.
Cummins earns his place after his memorable stint helping his side to reach the WTC final. He picked up 37 wickets in his nine tests at an average of 24.02.
India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal has been named in the test team after scoring 1478 runs during the year at 54.74, which included double centuries in back-to-back tests against England in February and 161 runs in the first test against Perth.
Meanwhile, England opener Ben Duckett who scored 1149 test runs in the year will Indian youngster’s opening partner.

Meanwhile, the middle order will comprise with power hitters Kane Williamson from New Zealand, Joe Root and Harry Brook from England and Kamindu Mendis from Sri Lanka.
Williamson who scored 1013 runs in 2024 runs with an average around 60 will be place in the No.3. Meanwhile England duo Joe Root and Harry Brook with 1556 and 1100 runs respectively.
Meanehile Mendis enjoyed a breakthrough year, hitting five centuries and becoming the fastest to 1000 test runs in 75 years. Jamie Smith has been designated wicketkeeper in the test team of the year, six months after making his test debut for England.
Cummins joins the bowling group with all-rounder Jadeja who boasted 527 runs and 48 wickets in the year. New Zealand’s Matt Henry, the pacer making impressive contributions against Australia, India and England, along with top ranked bowler Jasprit Bumrah who has 71 wickets in 2024.
