T20 World Cup 2024 ENG vs SCO: The start of the T20 World Cup 2024 match between England and Scotland was interrupted by rain right after the toss. The covers were brought in during the rain shower but only lasted a short time. When the covers were removed, a small damp patch stayed in the pitch and the rest of the ground was ready for play.
There was a scheduled time of 11:00 AM Local for the game to start, but the damp patch made trouble for the teams to take the field at that point.
The two captains, as well as support staff and umpire, took a look at the spot, and a sponge was deployed to drain the patch faster. Even though the match started after an hour, no overs were reduced.

Coming to the match, Scotland batted first where George Munsey and Michael Jones opened the innings Michal Jones scored 30* runs while Munsey scored 18* runs before the rain interrupted the match once again. With rain continuing, the game started to lose overs at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.
