“Tu hamara Kachra hai” Suryakumar’s Hilarious remark on Kuldeep in 2nd ODI vs WI

On the 2nd ODI match of India’s West Indies tour 2023, Suryakumar’s hilarious remark on Kuldeep Yadav disappointed fans over his bowling.

Suryakumar’s Hilarious Remark on Kuldeep in 2nd ODI vs WI

Suryakumar Yadav is considered a great asset for India. However, the batter is struggling at this moment to shine particularly in the ODI format. With the absence of injured Shreyas Iyer, Surya was served with an opportunity to fill the place no.4 in the batting order.

But he had failed to live up to the standards he has set for himself. Suryakumar had scores of 19 and 24 adding to his 17 innings without a fifty in ODI. The fans are disappointed with his performance and his remark on Kuldeep Yadav during the second ODI against West Indies on Saturday.

It had happened during the 29th over of the West Indies chase. The West Indies was 48 runs away from the victory win at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.

Kuldeep was into his seventh over in the innings with West Indies at 134 for four when Suryakumar, was heard saying: ‘Tu hamara Kachra hai’, referring to the characters from the iconic Bollywood movie Lagaan, who was a spin bowler.

It was the comment to cheer up Kuldeep who had cleaned up Shimron Hetmyer earlier in the game. Kuldeep did not react to the comment, but fans on social media were left utterly disappointed at the remark.

Despite a couple of low-performed matches in the Caribbean tour, India head coach Rahul Dravid backed Suryakumar. The former thinks Suryakumar hasn’t played enough ‘competitive matches’ when it comes to one-day format and hence he’s still learning.

“I think Surya is a really good player, there’s no doubt about it,” Dravid said. “His performances have shown that especially in T20 cricket, even in domestic white-ball cricket, he has some very good performances.

“Even he (Suryakumar) would be the first one to admit that his ODI numbers probably haven’t been up to the high standards that he has set in T20.

He’s probably learning one-day cricket. He has played a lot of IPL, a lot of competitive T20 cricket before India debut but in terms of one-day cricket, he probably hasn’t that much – there’s no IPL in one-day cricket.

So he’s learning, figuring out how to bat through those middle overs,” Dravid said in the post-match presser.

Kuldeep has made a big comeback to their International career in the last few months and was set to be India’s first-choice spinner putting Chahal’s spot in the team at risk. Kuldeep has taken a four-wicket Haul in the First ODI of the West Indies.

IND vs West Indies 2nd ODI

West Indies defeated India by 6 wickets to level the series 1-1. The West Indies bundled out India for 181 in 40.5 overs despite the visitors being asked to bat first. Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill stitched a 90-run opening stand but the breakthrough in the 17th over by Gudekesh Motie from where India started to fall apart.

India was 5 down for 113 till the 25th over when rain interrupted the game for the first time. The showers stopped the play again in the 38th over and India was 8 down till then with a score of 167. Meanwhile, Mukesh Kumar, who made his debut in the first ODI, got his maiden runs and went off the mark with a boundary.

Captain Shai Hope top-scorer with 43 even as others flattered to deceive, has hoped for some support and application from the rest of the batters.

The batting order includes the great performer Shimron Hetmyer, who steps up. In that case, West Indies can get a respectable total and challenge Indian batters through their bowlers, especially the impressive spin duo of Yannic Cariah and Gudakesh Motie.

Both the teams are getting prepared for the third and final ODI which serves to be the decider to be held on August 1, 2023, at Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
