Mumbai Indians star batter Suryakumar Yadav has been ruled out of the remaining of IPL 2022 after suffering a left forearm muscle injury during the clash against Gujarat Titans on May 6.

The five times IPL champion winner Mumbai Indians who already lost the IPL 2022 playoff chance also face another major blow by losing their star performer Suryakumar Yadav.
“Suryakumar Yadav has sustained a muscle strain on the left forearm and has been ruled out for the season. He has been advised to rest, in consultation with the BCCI medical team,” the franchise said in a statement.
The batter has scored three half-centuries so far and is the second-highest run-getter for the franchise. Suryakumar missed MI’s initial two matches as he was recovering from another hand injury.
Suryakumar Yadav scored 303 runs with the highest score of unbeaten 68 in the 8 matches he featured in the IPL 2022 season.
