Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has revealed that the first T20 competition will take place within the country and the draft is scheduled to take place on November 10.
It will be curious to see how the competition plays out in addition to Sri Lanka’s top T20 competition, the Lanka Premier League, which has had five instalments of it being played already. It is also expected that overseas players are expected to feature in the tournament.

Shammi Silva, the president of Sri Lanka Cricket was optimistic on his remarks on the T10 event saying, “I am confident that the first-ever draft of the Lanka T-10 Super League is going to set the platform for an exciting and entertaining tournament, which will add colour to the Sri Lankan cricketing calendar and bring in a new experience to our players and fans, alike.”
The rounds of the draft will involve shortlisting an emerging player from Zimbabwe and West Indies due to the T ten Global Sports running ventures in the two nations.
An 11-day window between December 12 and 22 is slated to commence after the completion of the second test in South Africa and will kick off the White-ball series in New Zealand later in December.
