Former India’s captain Sourav Ganguly has been named as Director of Cricket for JSW Sports and will be managing all cricketing properties owned by JSW Sports, including the Delhi Capitals men’s IPL and Women’s WPL teams.
He will also oversee the management operations at Pretoria Capitals which plays in the SA20 league in South Africa.

The JSW founder Parth Zindal was the one who initiated Ganguly’s move in 2019 and was gladly Ganguly to become a part of his group and will take care of all the cricket-related activities from now on.

Ganguly known as one of the shrewdest minds in the cricketing world has an experience at a high level. After his cricketing career was over, Ganguly worked as a commentator and then shifted his interest towards management and coaching.
“I’ve had the pleasure of knowing the JSW Group and the Jindal family personally and professionally which made this an easy decision. JSW Sports has been doing visionary work across the board, and I am pleased to be able to lend my experience to all its cricketing projects.”
Ganguly will hope to flourish in his new role like he did in part in the Delhi Capitals franchise and nurtured several young stars who carved a name for themselves.
Meanwhile, Hemang Badani has been named as Delhi Capitals head coach and Venugopal Rao has been named as the Director of cricket.
