India’s Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh and Deepti Sharma have been included in the ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year 2024 following their impressive contribution last year.
Laura Wolvaardt-led side is dominated by three Indian Players followed by two from South Africa and one each from Sri Lanka, West Indies, New Zealand, Ireland and Pakistan.

Mandhana who played 23 T20Is last year has scored 763 runs which is the most by any player. Meanwhile Richa Ghosh has scored 365 runs in 21 matches with an strike rate of 156.65.
Deepit Sharma who has picked 30 wickets in 23 T20Is has been added to the bowling setup of the T20I team of the year.
South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt was named as the captain of the team who scored 673 runs in 19 matches for Proteas women in the shortest format. She also lead the side to T20 World Cup final last year.

Chamari Athapathu, Hayley Matthews, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Melie Kerr along with Richa Ghosh will be filling the slots in the middle order.
Sri Lanka’s Chamari has been named after an impressive performance in the last year scoring 720 runs in 21 T20Is while Hayley Matthews scored 538 runs and picked up 14 wickets in 16 matches.
Nat Sciver-Brunt played 16 matchs and scored 423 runs including dismissal of seven batters.
Meawhile, Amelie Kerr scored 387 runs and dismissed 29 batters for White Ferns. Pakistan’s Sadia has played 19 matches and dimissed 30 batter whereas Orla Prendergast scored 544 runs and bagged 21 dismissals for Ireland.
South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp scored 399 runs in 16 matches along with 11 dismissals have been named in the T20I team of the year.
