Indian women’s star batter Smriti Mandhana has been named as the captain of the India squad for the Ireland ODIs set to be played in January 2025.
As per the Ireland Women’s Tour of India 2025 schedule, the first match will be played on January 10 in Niranjan Shah Stadium, Rajkot. All matches of the Ireland Women’s Tour of India 2025 will be played in Niranjan Shah Stadium, Rajkot.
Harmanpreet Kaur has been rested for the Ireland ODIs while Smriti Mandhana has been handed the captaincy responsibilities. Along with Harmanpreet, fast bowler Renuka Singh has also been rested for the three ODIs against Ireland.
Sayali Satghare and Raghvi Bist have been called up for the series, while the likes of Radha Yadav, Shafali Verma and Arundhati Reddy continue to miss out on the series.
Though Sayali Satghare received her India call-up for the ODIs against New Zealand in October 2024, she hasn’t featured in the series. On the other hand, Raghvi who recently made her T20I debut in the T20I series against West Indies in Navi Mumbai in December last year received her maiden ODI callup.
Notably, Bist was named in India women’s team as a non-travelling reserve for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup.

The three-match ODI series will form part of the 2022–2025 ICC Women’s Championship. Notably, Ireland Women’s tour of India 2025 will mark their first tour to India and also will be the first-ever bilateral series between the two sides.
