After an impressive 117 during the first ODI match of the South Africa women’s tour of India 2024, Smriti Mandhana hits her seventh ODI century in the second ODI match and tallies Mitali Raj’s ODI hundred.
Smriti Mandhana Hits 7th ODI Hundred
Smriti Mandhana scored her 7th ODI century in 84 matches while Mithali Raj took 232 matches to achieve the feat. Harmanpreet Kaur has hit 6 centuries in 132 matches.
Smriti also becomes the first Indian Woman to score consecutive centuries after hitting 136 runs in the second ODI match against South Africa in the home tour.

Smriti secured the 3rd Spot in the Women’s ODI rankings in the batters category after her impressive hundred in the first ODI match against South Africa Women.
During the match, South Africa chose to bowl where Smriti opened the innings to score a hundred in 103 runs helping the side to go past 200 runs in the 40th over. Smriti scored only 19 runs in 40 deliveries as she took time to get used to the conditions. After Shefali Verma’s dismissal for 20 runs for Nonkululeko, Dayalan Hemalatha scored 24 runs and was sent out by 24 runs.
Smriti hit 18 fours and two sixes helping the side to set up a huge total against South Africa. Meanwhile, Harmanpreet Kaur hit a quick fifty in the 40th over. Smriti was dismissed for 136 runs in 120 deliveries in the 46th over when she looked to go for a cover drive but the ball hits it straight to Brits.
Harmanpreet Kaur scored 103 runs in 88 deliveries in the match pushing the side’s score past 300. With Richa Gosh’s 25 runs, India scored 325 runs in 50 overs at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
