Sri Lanka has picked three uncapped players in the squad to play in the One-off Test in Colombo which is set to begin on February 02.

Recently, the side has concluded their 3-match ODI series and 3-match T20I series in Zimbabwe tour of Sri Lanka 2024.

On the Other hand, the Afghans suffered a defeat 3-0 in the recently completed T20I series in Afghanistan’s India tour 2024.

Dhananjaya de Silva will be taking over the side as full-time Test skipper after Dimuth Karunaratne. The squad features three uncapped players WK-Batter Lahiru Udara, and fast bowlers Chamika Gunasekara and Milan Rathanayake picked for the one-off clash.

Udara and Gunasekara have played in T20I and ODI respectively for the national side. But Rathnayake hasn’t featured in any format so far.
