Sri Lanka Test Squad for Pakistan Series: Sri Lanka Cricket has announced an 18-member squad for the upcoming home Test series against Pakistan.

During the Pakistan tour of Sri Lanka 2022, both teams are scheduled to play 2 Test matches between July 16 – July 28 with a 3-day warm-up match prior to the actual series. The warm-up match will be played between Sri Lanka Board Presidents XI and Pakistan on July 11.
Earlier to Pakistan, Sri Lanka successfully hosted Australia to play 3 T20I matches, 5 ODI matches, and 2 Test matches. In Australia tour of Sri Lanka 2022, Australia have won the T20I series and lost the ODI series to the hosting nation.
The two-match Test series ended in a draw after each side have won each. With Dinesh Chandimal’s unbeaten 206 runs, Sri Lanka comfortably won the second test by an innings and 39 runs.
With the series draw over Australia, Sri Lanka moves to third position in the ICC WTC points table while Australia slips to the second position. The touring nation Pakistan holds 4th position in the table which is a position ahead of the struggling Indian test team.
