SL vs PAK 2022: Shaheen Shah Afridi Ruled Out of 2nd Test 

Pakistan pace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been ruled out of the second test against Sri Lanka owing to a knee injury. During the Pakistan tour of Sri Lanka, both teams are scheduled to play 2 match test series between July 16-28 in Galle International Stadium, Galle.

Shaheen Shah Afridi Ruled Out of 2nd Test 

In the first test match, Pakistan beats the hosting nation by 4 wickets and leads the series with the second test match scheduled to play on July 24(Sunday). Sri Lanka needs to win the match to draw the series.

“Due to a knee injury sustained on the fourth day of the first Test, Shaheen Afridi will miss the second Test, which will be played in Galle from July 24,” read a team statement.

PCB also confirms that Shaheen will stay with the Test side in Sri Lanka where his initial rehabilitation will continue under the supervision of the Pakistan cricket team’s medical staff. READ: How to Watch Sri Lanka vs Pakistan Test Live in your Location

Shaheen Afridi in the first test match bagged 4 wickets for 58 runs in the first innings and went wicketless in the second inning after bowling 7 overs.
