India has completed their first two World Cup matches and is scheduled to play their third match against their rivals Pakistan on October 14 at Narendra Modi Stadium. With the Indian team defeating Afghanistan on October 11, they will be heading towards Ahmedabad.

Jasprit Bumrah was impressive in bowling as he dismissed four wickets and the Skipper Rohit Sharma scored 131 runs in the match against Afghanistan which helped the side to chase 273 runs and obtain quick victory.

The 24-year-old Shubman Gill who was sidelined from India’s clash against Australia and Afghanistan, reached Ahmedabad on Wednesday night.

Despite the improvement in his health, It still remains doubtful that the batter could play in the match against Pakistan. He was hospitalized in Kauveri Hospital before returning to the hotel in Chennai.

Tamil Nadu Cricket Association officials told the media that the doctors from the hospitals had confirmed that Shubman Gill was healthy enough to take flight.

Earlier he was not able to fly to Delhi with the side because of his low-count platelet and flight journey was not advisable.

Recently BCCI gave an update on Monday that Shubman Gill is ruled out of the match against Afghanistan. The sources have reported that he will be likely to miss the highly anticipated IND-PAK World Cup clash which is scheduled on October 14.

The batting coach Vikram Rathour spoke about the batter on prematch conference saying, “He is recovering well. He was hospitalized, yes, but that was more as a precaution. He is back in the hotel; he is recovering well. So, being monitored by the medical team and whatever update we get, we are hoping that he will recover pretty soon. He is looking good actually. He will be in the mix soon.”

After their arrival in Hyderabad two weeks ago, the Pakistan team arrived in Ahmedabad with tight security on Wednesday. The team management was briefed about the security arrangement for Babar Azam and co and they were satisfied with the facilities.

On the other hand, the Indian government has started issuing visas to Pakistan media. There is no information about the Visa for Pakistan fans to cross the border for the World Cup. Approximately 60 journalists have applied for the visa out of which 25 have been granted permission to travel to India.
