“Should Learn From BCCI” Kamran Akmal Slams Pakistan Board for Lack of Professionalism

Former Cricketer Kamran Akmal feels that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should learn Professionalism from the BCCI after the first test in the Bangladesh tour of India in 2024.

India sealed a win in the opening test against Bangladesh with a stunning 280-run victory in Chennai which is similar to Bangladesh’s first test against Pakistan a few weeks ago.

On this occasion, Kamran slammed PCB for lack of Professionalism and claimed that Pakistan’s cricket would not suffer if everything was working well in the order.

“PCB should learn from BCCI, their professionalism, their team, selector, captain, and coaches. These are the things that make a team number one and dominate the world. If we were so good, then Pakistan cricket wouldn’t be here. It is because of your ego Pakistan cricket is suffering,” said Kamran on his YouTube Channel.

Pakistan recently suffered a test series defeat against Bangladesh and has been reminded of the turmoil it stuck in the past few years. Pakistan suffered defeat in the finals of the 2022 Asia Cup finals against Sri Lanka. During the 2023 edition, Pakistan was knocked out of the Super 4 stage.

A couple of months later, they suffered a crushing defeat in the Cricket World Cup 2023. Meanwhile, Pakistan suffered a test series defeat against Australia, losing to Ireland and England in T20Is.

The men in Green also suffered another setback after falling short against the co-hosts, the USA in a Super Over thriller. Babar’s side went on to lose against India, which was confirmed in the group stage.

After the setbacks, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced their decision to host a high-level connection camp on Monday, to establish a clear vision of the future of Pakistan Cricket.

The camp will be attended by nine Pakistan cricketers including Babar Azam, Fakha Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shan Masood.

Pakistan’s red-ball coach Jason Gillespie, White-ball coach Gary Kirsten, assistant coach Azhar Mahmood, and High-Performance specials David Reid will be present in the camp.
