    “He is one of the greatest batsmen of all-time” : Shoaib Akhtar Regards Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar

    Former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar has named Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar as one of the “greatest batsman of all time”. Due to the wide spread of novel corona virus many government imposed a total lock down.

    As the imposement of this lock down the pre planned events has been postponed. More over sports field gets more impact than other departments, where players lock them self down as the sports events has been postponed.

    One of the most anticipated event of the year too face the same fate. The cash rich “Indian Premier League has been suspended till further notice” BCCI official states.

    SLC President Shammi Silva said that India is likely to look into Sri Lanka’s proposal if the coronavirus situation subsides in the neighbouring country. Replying to SLA’s proposal to host IPL 2020 BCCI dis agrees to the idea to host the tournament.

    Shoaib Akhtar regards Sachin Tendulkar

    Akhtar, in an Instagram video, recalled his memorable on-field battles with Tendulkar.

    “I had a good time bowling to Sachin Tendulkar. He is one of the greatest batsmen of all-time. But I dismissed him 12-13 times as well,” Akhtar said in the video.

    During his playing career, Akhtar managed to dismiss Tendulkar 8 times – 5 times in ODIs and 3 times in Tests – in international cricket.

    When it comes to T20 cricket, the Pakistan pacer dismissed Sachin once in Indian Premier League (IPL) match while playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) back in 2008.

    One of Tendulkar’s memorable knock for the Men In Blue was back in the 2003 World Cup against Pakistan, a match where he smashed 98 runs and is still considered as one of his best in ODI cricket.

    “Although, Indians only remember that one six which he hit me in Centurion [during the 2003 ICC World Cup] as it makes them really happy,” he said.

    “If I had known that one six makes 1.3 billion people happy, then I would have let him hit me for a six every day,” he added.
