Shivam Dube has been brought in as a replacement for the Middle Order batter Nitish Reddy has been ruled out of for the upcoming India tour of Zimbabwe 2024 and is set to await his international debut.
Shivam Dube Replaces Injured Nitish Reddy for Zimbabwe T20Is
A BCCI statement has revealed that the 21-year-old Nitish Reddy has been injured and the medical team has been monitoring his injuries. With the extent of the injury unknown, allrounder Shivam Dube has been named as the replacement for the T20i series against Zimbabwe.
Dube has been part of the Indian squad which currently plays in the T20 World Cup 2024. He made significant contributions in the games against Australia, Bangladesh, and the USA.

Recently, BCCI has revealed the 15-member squad for the Zimbabwe tour led by Shubman Gill. With the inclusion of Dube, three players from the T20 World Cup squad will be part of the upcoming T20I series.
The traveling reserves Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Avesh Khan, and Khaleel Ahamed will be also part of the squad. All the T20I matches of the tour will be played in Harare Stadium. The first T20I match of India’s tour of Zimbabwe will kickstart at 04:30 PM IST on July 06.
