    Shardul Thakur Slams Century for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy Clash Vs J&K

    Shardul Thakur has been the star for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 clash against Jammu & Kashmir. After a fifty in the first innings, he notched up a hundred in the second innings.

    Shardul Thakur slammed his second FC century in the Ranji Trophy sixth-round clash against J&K to put Mumbai back in the hunt to win the game at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy.

    He got his hundred in only 105 balls helping the side to score 250/7 after the side struggled with 91/6 at one stage.

    They have taken the lead to 188 and would like to add more on the third day.

    “What can I talk about my quality? Others should talk about it. They should see that if someone has quality, he should be given more chances. I like batting in difficult situations.”

    “In easy situations, everyone does well, but how you put up the show in adverse situations matters. I see tough situations as a challenge and always think about how to overcome that challenge,” said Shardul Thakur.

    “You have to forget whatever has happened in the past; it is not going to change. It is important to be in the present and think about what you can do shortly,” Shardul added.

    Speaking of the match, the Mumbai innings stands at 274/7 with Shardul Thakur formed another important eighth-wicket partnership with Tanush Kotian. Kotian scored 58* from 119 deliveries is leading by 188 runs while the partnership between the two players stands at 173.

    Meanwhile, other internationals Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer didn’t had good outings.

    Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 3 and 28 in Mumbai’s match against Jammu & Kashmir at the BKC Stadium, Jaiswal scored 4 and 26 while Iyer scored 11 and 17.

    Shubman Gill was out for 4 in Punjab’s clash against Karnataka at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

    Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja starred in Saurashtra’s big win over Delhi in Rajkot. In the sixth round of the tournament, Jadeja took 12 wickets combined to set up a 10-wicket win in the two innings as he dismantled the Delhi’s line-up which included Rishabh Pant, Ayush Badoni and Yash Dhull among others.
