Pakistan’s test captain Shan Masood and Pacer Shaheen Afridi engaged in a physical battle after a humiliating defeat in the first test of Bangladesh’s tour of Pakistan 2024.
Pakistan cricket has been under major scrutiny getting lambasted by fans and experts from the part of the world. As a result, Shaheen Afridi has been dropped from the Pakistan squad for the second test.
An even more shocking revelation is coming from the Pakistan dressing room as Shan Masood and Shaheen Afridi are embroiled in a physical battle.

Pakistan failed to secure victory and lost by 10 wickets against Najml Shanto’s side. This was the first time Pakistan in the test cricket. Senior players like Babar Azam, Shan Masood, and Shaheen Afridi were criticized on social media after they failed to put up a fight with bat and ball.
Meanwhile, Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up seven wickets in the second innings to secure victory for Bangladesh. Shaheen was removed from the captaincy and was handed to Babar in the white ball formats. Babar Azam captained the team in the T20 World Cup 2024 where Pakistan couldn’t pass through the group stage matches.
Pakistan was expected to do well in this series with the Rawalpindi wicket expected to help the pacer. Pakistan Shan Masood spoke after the first test and admitted that the team had made many mistakes in the first test. He admitted that they read the pitch wrong and would try to correct their mistakes in the second and final match of the series.
Pakistan will play their second test against Bangladesh starting on August 30 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
