Shami’s Comeback Plan is still a Question Mark – Misses the Bengal Squad

Bengal Cricket Team released their Ranji Trophy Squad for next two matchees against Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. Here the Indian Fast Bowler Mohammed Shami’s name wasn’t listed on the Squad.

It appears to be a huge setback for the Fast Bowler who is looking forward to make his come back to the Indian team for the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Mohammed Shami’s last appearance for Team India was in the Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 Final against Australia in Ahmedabad last year. After the World Cup he faced an injury on his left Achilles heel and later during the recovery in the rehab he suffered from the swelling on this Knee.

Last Month, Shami reported that he is 100% Pain Free and he would like to start playing the matches once the doctor confirms. But here as he wasn’t included to the squad list, it would be a big blow for this come back.

Abhimanyu Easwaran, Mukesh Kumar and Abhishek Porel misses out as they are in Australia Tour to represent India A Team. Also, Akash Deep Singh was named in Indian Test Team and he will be missing out as well.

Still it didn’t get Shami to the squad list and it should be huge disappointment for the Fast Bowler.

Ranji Trophy Bengal Team Wicket Keeper Batsmen Wriddhiman Saha recently annouced about his retirement.
