Mohammed Shami on His Shoulder Injury

Indian cricket team has been scheduled to tour Bangladesh to play 3 ODIs and 2 Test matches between December 4 – 26. The first match of the series will be played on December 4 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.

Notably, India will be playing their last Test match of the series while BCCI hosts the IPL 2023 players auction on December 23.

Shami has been ruled out of the series with a shoulder injury while IPL sensation Umran Malik has been named as his replacement for the Bangladesh ODI series.

“Injury, in general, teaches you to appreciate every moment. I’ve had my share of injuries throughout my career. It’s humbling. It gives you perspective. No matter how many times I’ve been hurt, I’ve learned from that injury and come back even more stronger,” tweeted Shami.

Though India could tackle in the Bangladesh ODI series, missing senior bowlers like Shami in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah will definitely make an impact in the Test series which is a part of ICC WTC 2023.
