Shaheen Afridi has been ruled out from the Pakistan squad for the second test in the Bangladesh tour of Pakistan 2024 as the board brought in young off-spinner Abrar Ahmed.
Pakistan is set to take on Bangladesh in the second and final test of the two-match test series and it is must must-win game for Shan Masood and his men as they lost the first test match against Bangladesh.
This was the first time that Pakistan was defeated in a Test match by Bangladesh, and a win in the second game will help them avoid a series defeat.
Pakistan has made a big change as they announced their squad a day before the second test. The star bowler Shaheen Afridi has been dropped from the second test against Bangladesh. Mir Hamza has been included in the 12-member squad and could be a potential replacement for Shaheen with Abrar taking the place of Mohammad Ali in all probability.

Pakistan went for an all-out pace attack in the first test against Bangladesh and has decided to move away from it in the second test.
Pakistan test head coach Jason Gillespie said that Shaheen Afridi is not playing the second test because he recently became a father and they wanted him to spend some time with his family.
“Shaheen Afridi is playing three formats for Pakistan. He recently became a father and we want him to spend some time with his family,” Gillespie said.
The second test of the tour will be played between August 30 and September 03 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
