Shafali Verma smashed a stunning knock of 197 runs off 115 balls during the quarterfinal clash of the senior women’s One-Day Trophy at the Niranjan Shah Stadium Ground.
Shafali Verma is currently leading Haryana in the 2024 senior women’s one-day and had a solid knock during the match against Bengal. After being dropped from the India squad due to a string of poor performances, Shafali Verma joined Reema Sisodia and stitched a partnership of 173 runs for the second wicket.
Apart from Shafali, Triveni Vasistha and Sonia Mendhiya’s 58-run partnership helped Haryana to post a huge total of 389 runs. Meanwhile, Sonia was the second highest run-getter for Haryana scoring 61 runs off 41 deliveries.

Shafali couldn’t find a place in India’s squads for the ODI series against Australia and more surprisingly for ensuring T20I rubber against the West Indies, despite being one of the Women’s in Blue’s leading run-scorers this year in the shortest format.
“She (Shafali) is a very important player for us and has done exceptionally well for the country. We are looking forward to seeing her get back into her zone and perform well for the team,” Harmanpreet said on the eve of their series opener.
“I can only talk about the team, (the) team is here and what (all) things we can do to win this series. Regarding Shefali or any other player, (it is) better to ask the right persons,” she said.
After clinching T20I series win, the Indian women are currently playing a three-match ODI series against West Indies.
After India women secure a 211 run in the first ODI match, the second match will be played on December 24 at Vadodara International Cricket Stadium.
