A huge six from wk-batter Sanju Samson hit a female fan in the crowd leaving her in tears during the fourth T20I of India’s tour of South Africa 2024.
Samson was in huge form, slamming 9 sixes to remain unbeaten with 109 runs off 56 deliveries. The incident took place during the 10th over of India’s innings, as Samson hit a mammoth six off Tristan Stubbs.
Tristan Stubbs’s delivery travelled deep mid wicket but ended up striking the woman directly on her face. The fan was visibly seen in pain and was she was given some ice to apply on the injury.
After realising the incident, Sanju Samson felt apologetic and the video has already gone viral on social media.

Talking about the match, India batted first and posted a total of 283 runs for a wicket.
Samson struck 109 runs off 56 deliveries while Tilak Varma scored 120 runs off 47 deliveries in a solid stand of 210 runs for the second wicket following the dismissal of Abhishek Sharma for 36 runs off 18 deliveries.
India’s 283-1 is the second highest total in men’s T20 internationals, after making 297-6 against Bangladesh in october.
Meanwhile South Africa bowled out for 148 runs 18.2 overs in reply, with Arshdeep Singh finished innings with a returns of 3-20.
The Proteas men slumped to 10-4 in reply before Tristan Stubbs struck 43 off 29, but the proteas suffered a heavy defeat by runs.
Along with Arshdeep, Chakravarthy led the Indian bowling attack as the visitors restricted the hosts for 148 runs with one over remaining. India secured 135-runs victory over the proteas in the fourth match, Suryakumar Yadav-led India clinched a 3-1 series win.
