The wk-batter Sanju Samson has been named as the captain of the Kerala squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Meanwhile Kerala Ranji Team captain Sachin Baby is part of the 18-member squad which comprises players like Vishnu Vinod and Basil Thampi.
Recently, Sanju Samson was part of the 4-match T20I series against South Africa where the side won the match 3-1. Sanjun was one of the best performers for India against the Proteas.

He was the first player in the world to score three T20I centuries in a year. The wk-batter has been running an incredible run in T20I format for India. Samson started his run with a century against Bangladesh in the third T20I in October.
As a reward, he was named as the captain for the Kerala team in the upcoming edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. With India has no white ball schedules till January, Sanju Samson will be playing the entire edition of SMAT 2024-25.
Kerala has been placed in the Group E along Mumbai, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Services, and Nagaland.
Kerala will play all their matches in Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. They will be playing their first match against Services on November 23 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
