Rajasthan Royals’ captain Sanju Samson registered the highest score in the 50th IPL match as a captain. Samson scored an unbeaten 62 off 38 deliveries during the RR vs GT clash on April 10 in Jaipur and achieved this feat.

As per the IPL 2024 schedule, Rajasthan Royals were scheduled to host Gujarat Titans to play the 24th league game of the season on April 10. During the clash, Sanju Samson scored an unbeaten 68 off just 38 deliveries and led his team to end the inning with a score of 196 for 3 wickets.
Sanju Samson surpassed Gautam Gambhir’s 59 against RCB in 2013 and became the player to score the highest run in the 50th IPL game as a captain.

Speaking on the game, Gujarat Titans won the toss and opted to bowl first where Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler opened the inning. Though Jaiswal made a steady start, he failed to withstand Umesh’s bowling attack and lost his wicket for 24 runs.
Following his dismissal, Buttler lost his wicket to Rashid Khan for just 8 runs after scoring a match-winning century in his previous game.
Skipper Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag lifted the burden on their shoulder and made a 130-run stand for the next wicket. Mohit Sharma broke the partnership by dismissing Riyan Parag for 76 runs.
During the inning, Sanju Samson registered the highest score in the 50th IPL match as captain. With 19 runs off the last over, Rajasthan Royals scored 196 runs for 3 wickets loss at the end of 20 overs.
On the other hand, Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill made a steady partnership by scoring 64 runs for the 1st wicket.
Kuldeep Sen made the necessary break though by dismissing Sai for 35 runs. Wade on the other hand who has the capabilities of changing the match gear fell into the trap set by Kuldeep Sen after scoring just 4 runs.
In the same over, Kuldeep Sen dismissed Abhinav Manohar for just 1 run and loaded the pressure over Gujarat’s batters.
Vijay Shankar and Shahrukh Khan failed to make an impact against RR’s bowlers and were dismissed for 16 and 14 runs respectively.
With Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan’s outstanding knocks in the final two overs, Gujarat Titans won by the game 3 wickets and handed Rajasthan their maiden defeat of the season.
