Indian batter Sanju Samson made a stunning move in the T20I batter rankings, reaching 22nd after a display of batting prowess against South Africa.
Sanju Samson slammed three centuries in the T20I series against South Africa and became the first batter to score three T20I centuries in a calendar year.
Samson is now in third in the list of most T20I centuries by Indians, overtaking KL Rahul, as he scored three centuries in last five innings.
During the final T20I match agianst Proteas, Samson along with Tilak Varma stitched a 210 partnership for the second wicket where the side scored 283 runs at end of the innings.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma made huge movements in the ICC rankings.
The Indian veteran Hardik Pandya has reclaimed the No. 1 ranking in the T20 All-rounder category while his teammate Tilak Varma made huge jump and secured 4th position in the rankings.

His 39* runs in the second game helped the side to balance India’s innings. During the finals contest, he bagged a wicket from three overs during the decisive fourth contest ensure the Asian side claimed an impressive 3-1 triumph.
This is the second time Hardik Pandya has claimed no.1 rankings for T20 all-rounders, with the consistent India performer first rising to the top at the end of the year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Tilak Varma shooted up 69 places following his two centuries and amassed a total of 280 runs during the T20I series against South Africa which shows rise of Varma to third place overall behind Travis Head.
This means that he pushed fellow teammate Suryakumar Yadav dropping one spot to fourth behind him. Tristan Stubbs moved to 23rd position and Heinrich Klaasen reached 59th position.
On the other hand, Kusal Mendis has also moved three spots up and secured 12th position while Shai Hope moved to 21st position.
Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis improves 10 spots to secure 45th position following his recent half century against Pakistan.
Adam Zampa and Nathan Ellis are among the biggest movers on the updated rankings for T20I bowlers, with India’s Arshdeep Singh gained three places to move to ninth.
After a series triumph over New Zealand, Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana has moved to 6th position in the list of ODI bowlers following his five wickets across three matches.
Kusal Mendis and Avishka Fernando rised to 26th and 62nd position in the ODI rankings for batters while Will Young has secured 22nd position in the rankings.
