The 31 year old Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma spokes out about his favorite Indian batsman. Ishant has been asked to choose between Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, he is also the last of player who played with both.

Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma are from the delhi and made their debut in Indian team with short difference. Ishant made his debut in the summer of 2007 whereas Kohli entered in 2008. Recently Ishant Sharma dragged in to the Indian test squad playing against New Zealand after recovering from the ankle injury. But ruled out in the second test match due to the same.
As each day passes by, the comparisons between Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar are getting intense, both have been the best batsmen of their eras and Kohli is still going strong and gradually nearing Sachin’s tally.
The brawl get its peak as Virat Kohli is just 133 runs behind to beat Sachin Tendulkar’s ODI record. Many experts believe that Virat Kohli would break Sachin’s record with his bat.
Therefore, between the Indian cricket fans, two camps have been generated, one who believes that Kohli has already outshined the master blaster, the other thinks that he is yet to achieve it or will never be able to do it.
In an interaction with the Cricbuzz, Ishant was asked who is his favourite batsman between Kohli and Tendulkar.
“Virat Kohli is the best batsman I have ever seen play on a cricket field,” Ishant answered, a statement which he had on the tip of his tongue as soon as the question was asked.
“Kohli or Dhoni”- Don’t want to create controversy
In the same interview Ishant Sharma has been asked to choose the best captain he played under. As he have played a significant amount of time under both Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. Ishant gave an un expected and straight forward reply that he don’t want to create controversy by mentioning a particular player name.
“Both Dhoni and Virat are my favourite captains. I can’t pick one and create a controversy.” Ishant said.

As T20 world cup is scheduled to play later this year, Dhoni is expected to make his way back to the squad after exposing his form in IPL 2020. But unfortunately the IPL has been postponed due to the corona virus outbreak.
