RR Players leaving IPL 2024: Rajasthan Royals who becomes the second team to be qualified for the IPL 2024 playoff will play the remainder of the season without their aggressive opening batter Jos Buttler.
Rajasthan Royals made an impressive start in the IPL 2024 season but lost their momentum towards the end of the league stage. Though Rajasthan Royals qualified for the playoffs with 16 points they registered four consecutive losses with just one league game left out to play.
Sanju Samson and Co. were expected to finish at the top position in the IPL 2024 points table, but their consecutive losses make it difficult for them to reach the top two positions.
In its recent announcement, the England Cricket Board (ECB) asked all the selected players for the World Cup squad to return in time for the T20 series against Pakistan set to be played between May 22 and 30.
Following the announcement, England players started to leave their respective IPL teams to feature in the team’s T20 World Cup preparation.
RR Players leaving IPL 2024
Jos Buttler who scored 359 runs in 11 matches in IPL 2024 has returned home for the T20 World Cup 2024 preparation.

Following his unavailability, Rajasthan Royals named Kohler-Cadmore in the place of Jos Buttler for their recent clash against Punjab Kings which RR lost by 5 wickets.
The T20 World Cup 2024 has been scheduled to kickstart on June 1 with the final game on June 29. Though the dates of the IPL 2024 playoff will not collide with the ICC event, the national teams started to recall their T20 World Cup 2024 squad players in order to start their preparation for the tournament.
The Qualifier 1 of the IPL 2024 will be played on May 21 while the Eliminator and Qualifier 2 will be played on May 22 and 24 respectively. The grand final of the tournament will be played on May 26 at Chepauk.
With just 5 days left between the IPL 2024 Final and the start of the T20 World Cup 2024, it will be difficult for the players to participate in the national team’s preparation for the ICC event. Thus the national teams recalled their players for their World Cup preparation.
