Rohit Sharma received loud cheers as he landed in Mumbai for the team’s first home game of the IPL 2024 campaign at Wankhede Stadium. The fans were delighted after seeing Rohit Sharma at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport, Mumbai.

The official handle of the Mumbai Indians franchise shared a special video, featuring Rohit as he arrived in style with a hat along with his travel kit of Mumbai Indians.
He landed in Mumbai with tight security, surrounded by security personnel, and was accompanied by his wife Rithika Sajdeh, and daughter Samaira.

The Mumbai-based franchise will be hosting Rajasthan in their first home fixtures on April 01. The franchise had a poor start as they lost the first two matches of their IPL campaign. Under the leadership of Hardik, the franchise lost their first match to Gujarat Titans and lost the match against Hyderabad in their second game.
Hardik Pandya who became the MI Captain ahead of IPL 2024, led the squad in the first two matches of the IPL campaign.
On this occasion, Mumbai Indians batter Ambati Rayudu has suggested that Rohit Sharma should make a statement to extend his support to new captain Hardik Pandya.
While speaking in the media, Ambai Rayudu said, “Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Surayakumar Yadav have given their blood to the team. They have worked hard to make it a successful unit.
“I know they all are together, but Rohit should make a statement that he is with skipper Hardik and will help him in taking the franchise forward,” he concluded.
Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals will be playing in the 14th match of the IPL 2024 campaign on April 01 at Wankhede Stadium.
