India Cricket team captain Rohit Sharma was left fuming after opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was late for their departure from Adelaide.
While the team was ready to leave for Brisbane before the third test match, Jaiswal was 20 minutes late and the bus left without him. The team including captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir waited for him in the team but decided to leave after some time.
The young batter came to lobby around 20 minutes late and had to take a separate hotel car to the airport. The Indian cricket team was set to take the flight by 10 AM flight to Brisbane and the team was ready to depart from hotel at 08:30 AM.
There were two buses for the team and the support staff but Jaiswal was not there on time. Rohit Sharma was visibly frustrated because of the delay.
20 minutes later, Jaiswal came to hotel lobby to discover that the bus had already left for the airport. But the team management has already arranged a car for him and he travelled in vehicle along with the senior security officer.
Meanwhile, former Australia cricketer Matthew Hayden urged the Indian batters to bat ‘better and for time’ during the third Brisbane Test against Australia.
After a humiliating loss to the visitors by 295 runs at Perth’s Optus Stadium, which saw Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal deliver contributions the hosts bounced back big time as top bowling spells from Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins and a hundred from Travis Head helped them to secure 10-wicket victory against India.
Jaiswal secured a brilliant century in the series opener which India won by 295 runs, was dismissed cheaply in both the innings of the day-night test. The defeat in the Pink-ball test has moved India to third position in the WTC points table.
Meanwhile Australia has secured scond place in WTC standings. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli‘s inconsistency has a major impact on India’s defeat and the team will be hoping for their two senior batters to be back among the runs as they aim to regain to lead.
The third match of the Australia-India tests will begin on December 14 at The Gabba.
