The Board of Control for Cricket in India has revealed a special video of Team India celebrating on the chartered flight from Barbados to Delhi. Notably, Team India arrived in New Delhi on July 04 as the nation awaits welcoming the T20 World Cup champions.

It has been nearly five days since India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup finals after defeating South Africa by 7 runs at Barbados. They were stranded in Barbados due to Hurricane Threat. It has been 11 years for India to complete their ICC trophy drought. After suffering defeats in the finals of the WTC 2023 and ODI World Cup 2023, India was finally able to celebrate their victory.

India team took a 16-hour flight journey to reach the nation while they continued their celebrations onboard. In the video, Rohit Sharma gave some funny poses on camera while Rishabh Pant was seen enjoying himself with Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Suryakumar Yadav alongside their families.

Mohammad Siraj and Yuzvendra Chahal expressed their emotions on the T20 World Cup triumph.

“It’s an amazing feeling man, we’ve worked hard a lot to hold it in our hands. I’m so blessed that I could celebrate this moment with my teammates,” said Mohammad Siraj in the video.

“This feeling you can’t express in words, I think I’m so lucky to have this,” said Yuzvendra Chahal. Meanwhile, India reached Hotel ITC Maurya in New Delhi and is set to meet Prime Minister Modi shortly at his office. After the Meetup with the PM, the team will travel to Mumbai for a special road show organized for fans to get a look on team India’s World Cup-winning team along with the trophy.

Rohit Sharma is the third Indian captain after Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni to win a World Cup. Hundreds of fans were seen congratulating the Indian team and waving the national flag outside the Indira Gandhi International Airport to welcome the victorious players.
