Rishabh Pant Sold to LSG for INR 27 crore, Most Expensive Buy Ever

The Indian Wk-batter Rishabh Pant has been the most expensive player of the Set 1 of the IPL 2025 mega auction as he joined Lucknow Super Giants for a price of INR 27 Crore.

After making his stunning comeback after a car accident he made a remarkable run in the IPL 2024 scoring 446 runs with a strike rate of 155.40.

Pant has been the second highest score with the most 50-plus scores for the DC franchise in IPL history.

Pant came in after Shreyas Iyer who joined PBKS for INR 26.75 crore. LSG were the first to raise for Pant before RCB joined the bidding war.

Chennai Super Kings also came in the initial phase for a little period but backed out with LSG and RCB continuing the bid.

SRH also joined the bidding war to surge the price further up. LSG had the player for 20.75 Crore before DC opted for RTM. But LSG then raised the price to a whopping INR 27 crore before the Capitals moved out of the bidding war.
