The Wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant who made his stunning return to test cricket during the Bangladesh tests has teased his fans with his midnight posts on X.
The Delhi Capitals star has wondered how much money would he fetch if he went into the IPL 2025 mega auction which led fans to speculate if the wicket-keeper batter would leave the franchise.
Rishabh Pant returned to cricketing action during IPL 2024 after his car accident and made a strong contribution to India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup in 2024.
He posted a tweet in X saying, “If go to the auction, Will I be sold or not and for how much??”

The Cricket Board has revealed six retentions saying that each franchise will be allowed up to six retentions, including a maximum of two uncapped stars.
Pant was expected to be Delhi’s top retention choice like he was in the previous mega auction when DC made him the captain of the franchise.
Pant’s tweet came in contrast with a recent statement made by DC co-owners Parth Jindal, who said that the wk-batter was certainly going to be retained by the franchise.
“Yes, we definitely have to retain. We have some very good players in our team. The rules have just come out, so after discussing with GMR and our director of cricket, Sourav Ganguly, decisions will be made,” said Parth Jindal.
“Rishabh Pant will be retained. We also have Axar Patel, who is excellent, Tristan Stubbs, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Kuldeep Yadav, Abishek Porel, Mukesh Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, all very good players in our team,” he further added.
In case Rishabh Pant does opt to go into the auction, Delhi Capitals can still buy the player either being the highest bidder or by exercising the Right to Match Card.
