Rishabh Pant Banters Michael Vaughan on his own Podcast

The Indian WK-Batter Rishabh Pant made a verbal banter on a podcast with Australian legend Adam Gilchrist and former England cricket Michael Vaughan.

Rishabh Pant was hilarious when he spoke with Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan where he engaged in a light-hearted banter on a podcast.

They had a little talk about Pant’s recovery and his anticipation for the upcoming cricketing season.

“I would say (to Vaughan) you’re focussing too much on social media,” said Pant.

“They already know what they need to do. As a batsman, I would say a simple thing, instead of punching the ball, look to cut the ball. That’s what I would say (to England’s Bazballers).”

“Because when you punch the ball there is more chances of you getting caught, or just getting out. Australia is the best place for cuts and pulls. The fuller ball will not disturb you much.”

“Mostly it’s going to be back of length. These guys bowl the fuller ball a little wider off the off stump. In England, you can punch the ball in a better way.”

When Vaughan joked that with this advice Pant would soon be invited to join England’s coaching staff, the Indian said, “Then the players will say ‘this kid is going to teach us how to play’. Don’t put me in a spot like that.”

“You need a little more pace in Australian conditions. Balls at 130 kmph are the best for a batter in Australian conditions. If you have a more than 140 kmph bowler, that makes a lot of difference.”

He also spoke about England’s Bazball batting style on England’s tour of India 2024 where the hosts won the series 4-1 saying, “We’re not thinking about that too much!

“As a team, you have to find your strength. As a team, you have to focus on yourself and not too much on the opposition.

“I don’t think so. If your team is doing well, it’s a good thing. I don’t feel bad about anything else. I just watched the cricket, I wasn’t taking any sides.”

“Yes, you want your team to be the winner, but at the same time, cricket is something that you have to be a little neutral when you’re watching from outside. Of course, my heart and soul are with Indian cricket, so you want India to win.”

Recently, Rishabh Pant is set to join Delhi Capitals for IPL 2024. He has been out of his cricketing career for more than a year after he met with a car accident in December 2022.

He joined the Delhi Capitals camp on March 13 and is set to lead the side during the upcoming IPL season.

The 17th edition of the IPL 2024 season is set to begin on March 22 with CSK and RCB to feature in the first match of the IPL 2024 schedule.

Delhi Capitals will be playing their first match of the campaign against Punjab Kings on March 23 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium.
