BCCI has made changes in the Duleep Trophy squads as some players left the squad for international duties with Rinku Singh being named in the India B squad for round two.
He comes in as a replacement in the squad after Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant had to withdraw following their selection for a two-match test series against Bangladesh.
With the second round matches in the Duleep Trophy starting on September 12, BCCI has revealed that Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Akash Deep have been named in India’s Test squad for the Bangladesh series.
Left-arm pacer Yash Dayal and Sarfaraz Khan who are part of India’s 16-member squad for the opening Test, have not been released from the Duleep Trophy duties which indicates that they will be not part of the playing 11 in Bangladesh tests.
The selectors have named Pratham Singh as a replacement for Gill, and Akshay Wadkar as a replacement for KL Rahul. Meanwhile, Rasheed will replace Jurel and left-arm spinner Shams Mulani will replace Kuldeep and Aaqib Khan will be replacing Akashdeep in the squad.
Mayank Agarwal has been named as the captain of the India A squad. However, the India C squad remains unchanged for the second round.
