He was expected to play in the upcoming IPL 2024 where RCB decided to retain him before IPL 2024 auction. RCB decided to retain the player despite his long history of injuries. He is expected to be ready for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to be hosted by the USA and West Indies.
Topley was part of the Durban Super Giants which played in the SA20 2024 league and played 12 matches for the franchise. The side finished the tournament as runners after losing to Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the finals of the SA20 2024 schedule.
