Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings are set to play in the 34th match of the IPL 2024 schedule where Ravindra Jadeja smashed a half-century on 32 deliveries.
Jadeja smashed 57 runs on 40 deliveries in the match making his first fifty of the season. Jadeja has played 233 matches in IPL history, scoring 2833 with a high score of 62 runs. He smashed 205 fours and 101 sixes in IPL history.
Jadeja has been in poor form since the start of the 2024 season but returned to his form during the clash against Lucknow. He smashed 25 runs on 17 deliveries in the match against RCB while being dismissed on a run out against Gujarat Titans for 7 runs. He smashed 21* runs on 17 deliveries but the side lost the game by 20 runs.
During the match against SRH, he smashed an unbeaten 31 runs on 23 deliveries but didn’t get a chance to bat in the matches against Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians.
With both sides having played six matches so far in the tournament, KL Rahul-led LSG is hosting CSK on April 19 after securing three victories.
On the other hand, CSK has been in impressive form so far in the season where they secured four victories out of six matches they played. Currently, CSK is comfortable in the third position while LSG has secured fifth position in the IPL 2024 points table.
Rachin Ravindra has played six matches in the tournament and amassed a score of 133 runs with a high score of 46 runs and a strike rate of 166.25.
Batting first, Ajinkya Rahane and Rachin Ravindra opened for Chennai Super Kings where the first over was bowled by Matt Henry. CSK captain Ruturaj came to bat and scored 17 runs before being dismissed by Yash Thakur in the fifth over of their innings.
Ravindra Jadeja joined Rahane on the crease and helped the side to score 51 runs by the end of the powerplay. Rahane scored 36 runs on 24 deliveries before being dismissed by Krunal Pandya.
Shivam Dube was sent back to the dugout for 3 runs by Marcus Stoinis and Krunal Pandya sent out Sameer Rizvi for 1 run. CSK scored 105 runs for wickets after the completion of the 15th over. Ravindra Jadeja scored 52* runs on 32 deliveries including 5 fours and 1 six.
After Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Moeen Ali, MS Dhoni came to bat and helped the side to score 176 runs by the end of 20 overs. Dhoni had impressive innings scoring 28 runs on 9 deliveries with an impressive Strike Rate of 311.11.
With a target of 177 runs, Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul opened for LSG and went to smash fifty in the match. KL Rahul smashed fifty on 32 balls while Quinton de Kock smashed 50 on 41 deliveries. With the dismissal of de Kock for 54 runs. Nicholas Pooran joined KL Rahul to speed up the victory for the side.
KL Rahul scored 82 runs on 53 deliveries including 9 fours and 3 sixes with a strike rate of 154.72 while Nicholas Pooran smashed 23* runs in 12 deliveries.
Mustafizur Rahman and Matheesha Pathirana bagged a wicket each for CSK but the visitors suffered defeat with 8 wicket difference.
