After Day 02 and Day 03 got washed out due to rain, both teams were happy to see the sun out in Kanpur on Monday. Bumrah has provided an early strike for India in the form of Mushfiqur Rahim but Mominul Haque was able to secure a ton for the visitors before the lunch.
With Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan falling cheaply, Mominul became aggressive in hitting boundaries. In the last over of the session, he swept Ravichandran Ashwin for a four to reach his century from 172 balls.
Bumrah picked the wickets of Mehidy Hasan and Taijul Islam while Siraj picked the wickets of Hasan Mahmud before Jadeja dismissed Khaleel Ahmed.
Bangladesh were 205/6 from 66 overs after the first session. Finally, Bangladesh scored 233 runs and completed their first innings at Green Park.
