The BCCI has announced the India squad for the South Africa T20I series where three names Ramandeep Singh, Vijaykumar Vyshak and Yash Dayal received maiden call-ups for the tour.
Ramandeep Singh earned call-ups after a solid performance with Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 season and his impressive showing at the Emerging Teams Asia Cup has added the reason for the all-rounder addition.
Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson who opened in the recent Bangladesh series, have retained their spots while Tilak Varma captained India A to the semi-finals in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup, also joined the squad.

Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel have been brought up in the squad to bring balance to the lineup. Spinner Varun Chakravarthy made an impressive performance against Bangladesh with Ravi Bishnoi set to accompany him in the spin department.
Arshdeep Singh, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Avesh Khan, Yash Dayal and Hardik Pandya will be featured in the India pace unit. Meanwhile, the notable absentee, Mayank Yadav has been sidelined due to injury.
“Kuldeep Yadav was unavailable for selection for the tour of Australia since he has been referred to The BCCI Centre of Excellence after the end of ongoing test series against New Zealand for long-term resolution of his chronic left groin issue,” said a BCCI statement.
Meanwhile, Shivam Dube also missed the Bangladesh series due to injury and remains unavailable.
Along with the T20I squad announced, BCCI also revealed an 18-member India squad for the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy starting on November 22.
India’s T20I series against South Africa consists of four matches starting on November 08 at Kingsmead, Durban.
