Bhanuka Rajapaksa has retained his position in the squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series on the Sri Lanka tour of New Zealand. Meanwhile, Dunith Wellalage has missed out on the team that faced the same opposition last month.
He is currently part of the Lanka T10 Super League playing for Jaffna Titans. While another curious retention is Dinesh Chandimal despite being named in recent squads last played a T20I in February 2022.
Wickramasinghe will be part of seam attack which includes Matheesha Pathirana, Nuwan Thushara, Asitha Fernando and Binura Fernando. Spinners Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana and Jeffrey Vandersay round out the squad.
The first match of the T20I leg will played on Saturday 28 while the second and third matches will be played on December 30 and January 02.
The ODI leg of the tour will begin on January 5 while the second and third matches will be played on January 8 and 11.
