The toss for the T20 World Cup 2024 Sri Lanka vs Nepal gets delayed after the rain intervention. Sri Lanka was scheduled to face Nepal to play the 23rd game of the tournament on June 12 in Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida.
The match was scheduled to kick off at 05:00 AM IST with a toss at 04:30 AM IST but unfortunately, rain intervened and delayed the toss.

Sri Lanka who lost their first two games of the tournament needs to win their remaining two games in order to stay alive in the Super 8 race. Nepal on the other hand played just one game so far and lost that by six wickets against the Netherlands.
Sri Lanka played their first match against South Africa and lost the game by 6 wickets while faced Bangladesh in their second game and lost the game by 2 wickets.
Without any victories, both Nepal and Sri Lanka are placed in the last two spots in the points table. Nepal will play this match without their star spinner Sandeep Lamichhane who has been denied a US visa. The right-arm leg-break Sandeep Lamichhane will join the Nepal squad in the West Indies after sitting out Nepal’s first two matches in the USA.
The match will play a key role for both teams who were in search of their first victory of the tournament.
