The Punjab Kings have announced that the home matches will be played at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium, Mullanpur.
Punjab Kings Announces New Home Venue
Punjab Kings usually play their IPL home fixtures at Bindra Stadium and HPCA Stadium in Mohali and Dharamsala respectively. However, the team owners have decided to shift their home matches to the newly built Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium.
Punjab Kings officials have confirmed the change in the home venue in a press release on February 26 highlighting the facilities at their home venue.
“The Mullanpur stadium has a well-equipped herringbone drainage system, which helps remove water within 25-30 minutes after the rain stops. Instead of using traditional soil, the ground is made of sand, which is difficult to maintain, but provides good stability.”
“It is equipped with two international-standard dressing rooms having facilities for steam, sauna, and ice bath, while a world-class gym has also been set up at this complex,” added the statement.

The stadium, which has hosted domestic matches for the last couple of years, comprises all the modern facilities and top class infrastructure, and can host a capacity of 33,000 fans,” concluded the statement.
The British Deputy High Commissioner, Caroline Rowett visited the stadium in February and thanked Dilsher Khanna, the PCA secretary, and Vice-president Preet Mohinder Singh Banga for giving her a tour of the venue.
The 17th edition of the IPL season will begin on March 22 with Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore to play in the first match of the IPL 2024 schedule. Punjab Kings is looking forward to winning their maiden IPL title.
BCCI has revealed only the first part of the fixtures as election dates overlap with the tournament. Once the dates for elections are confirmed, BCCI will reveal the remaining fixtures of the tournament.

Punjab Kings will be playing their first match against Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024 on March 23 at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium.
