Probable Top Buys in IPL 2024 Auction: The IPL 2024 auction will take place on December 19 in Dubai where a total of 333 cricketers will go under the gavel during the event.
Out of 333 players, 214 are Indians and 119 are overseas players of which 2 players are from associate nations.
According to the IPL committee rules, each franchise can have 25 players in their squad, out of which a maximum of 8 can be foreign players. In Playing 11, each team can have a maximum of 4 overseas players in the mix.
The participating 10 teams have a total of 77 slots to fill of which 30 can be overseas players.

Probable Top Buys in IPL 2024 Auction: ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 winning captain Pat Cummins registered his name under INR 2 crore for the IPL 2024 Auction.
The 30-year-old fast bowler so far played 42 IPL matches and bagged 45 wickets at an economy of 8.54. Pat Cummins made his IPL debut in 2014 for Kolkata Knight Riders, to whom he returned for IPL 2015.
He was not involved in IPL 2016 and played for Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2017. He was absent from IPL 2018 and IPL 2019. In the IPL 2020 auction, Cummins was bought back by Knight Riders for INR 15.5 crore (A$2.8 million), making him one of the most expensive overseas players in IPL auction history.
Cummins opted out of IPL 2023 stating that he wanted to focus on his commitments with the national team, including the Ashes series and the ODI World Cup.
Following the sucessful World Cup season, Pat Cummins made his return to the IPL 2024 season. Sunrisers Hyderabad is expected to rope in Pat Cummins in the IPL 2024 auction.

In the 2023 edition, Hasaranga played 8 matches for RCB and bagged 9 wickets at an economy of 8.90. Ahead of the 2024 edition, RCB released Hasaranga.
