India will be playing their last T20I match before the World Cup which is set to begin on June hosted by USA and West Indies jointly. India will be playing a five-match test series against England on the home ground starting on next week.
The hosts lead the series 2-0 and the final match will kickstart at 07:00 PM IST on January 17 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
While speaking in the pre-match conference, the Afghanistan head coach Jonathan Trott said, “I think we’ve played some good cricket in parts. But there are also times where we perhaps haven’t been as good as we expect from ourselves.”
“We’re hoping to get closer to good 40 overs from ourselves tomorrow and be able to put some pressure on the Indian side, especially in the middle overs with the ball. It’s something we’ve got to get better at if we want to compete in the World Cup.”Â
