PBKS vs CSK 2024 highlights; Chennai Ends 5-Game Losing Streak against Punjab

PBKS vs CSK 2024 highlights: Chennai Super Kings secured their sixth victory in the IPL 2024 campaign during the match against Punjab Kings on May 05 at HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala.

After suffering defeat against Punjab Kings in the last encounter, CSK pulled out their revenge by securing a 28-run difference on Sunday clash. Chennai has ended their five-game losing streak in this encounter. They moved to the 3rd position in the IPL 2024 points table.

Ravindra Jadeja was named the Player of the Match for his contribution in both the batting and bowling departments. With this victory, CSK is still alive in the Playoff spots.

While speaking at the post-match conference, Ravindra Jadeja said, “Was a day game so the wicket was slow. It was expected to be slow because it was quite warm. Wanted to build a partnership of 30-40 so that we have a platform for the end.”

“The bowlers bowled well. Always looks like a flat wicket in powerplay. But as the ball gets older, it doesn’t come on very well. When you’re playing at a new venue, you don’t have an idea of how the pitch will be. Felt we were 15-20 short. My role is to build a partnership if we lose early wickets,” concluded Ravindra Jadeja.

Coming to the match, Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to bowl. Batting first, CSK scored 167 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Ajinkya Rahane and Ruturaj Gaikwad opened the innings where the former was sent out for 9 runs by Arshdeep Singh.
