In a recent development in Australia’s men’s cricket team, Pat Cummins has been removed from the ODI captaincy and Josh Inglis has been named as Australia’s White ball captain for the final ODI and T20I series against Pakistan.
It is reported that Pat Cummins along with test players, Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith, and Marnus Labuschagne will start their preparations for the Border Gavaskar trophy and will be not part of the squad for the third ODI against Pakistan.
Meanwhile, pacer Spencer Johnson and Xavier Bartlett and WK-batter Josh Phillip have been added to the ODI squad.
Lance Morris became part of the Australia squad for the series opener in Melbourne while Hazlewood was on Sheffield Shield duties.

With Cummins taking over the test preparations, and Australia T20I captain Mitchell Marsh on Paternity leave, Inglis will take over the captaincy in both the 50-over and T20 formats for the first time.
He has previously captained the Prime Minister’s Xl side against West Indies in 2022 which resulted in a draw.
“Josh is an integral member of the ODI and T20I teams and a highly respected player on and off the field,” said George Bailey.
“He has led Australia A previously and will bring strong tactical nous and a positive approach to the role.
“Josh will receive great support from the likes of Matt Short and Adam Zampa, along with senior players including Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis.”
Australia won the first match of the ODI series and will be playing their second match on November 08 at Adelaide Oval.
