Australia Tour of Pakistan 2022: Pakistan and Australia announced their Test squad for the upcoming Australia tour of Pakistan 2022. The Australian cricket team is scheduled to play 3 match Test series followed by 3 match ODI series and only T20I match.
The 3 match test series will kickstart from March 4, 2022 with the first match scheduled to play at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The Tests will be part of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23, while the ODIs will be part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, a 13-team competition from which the top seven teams and hosts India will qualify directly for the 2023 event.

Earlier Australia announced their Test squad where Pat Cummins will lead the Test side while Steve Smith continues to be his deputy. Andrew McDonald will step into the role of interim head coach following Justin Langer’s resignation.
After a successful Ashes series victory, Australia are all set for their first overseas Test tour in almost three years. The number one ranked Test side hasn’t played in an overseas series since visiting England in 2019.
Recently Pakistan Cricket Board announced their 16 member Test squad where one of the most successful captains Babar Azam lead the side in home.

Australia to tour Pakistan for the first time in 24 years
The PCB had earlier announced the details of Australia’s first tour of Pakistan since November 1998. The tour will take place in March and April 2022 and will include three Tests, three One-Day Internationals, and one Twenty20 International.
Australia will complete isolation in their own country before flying to Islamabad on February 27. After a one-day room isolation, they will be allowed to hold training sessions at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
